Dopo aver messo in piedi concerti, allestito palchi e fatto il fonico
in situazioni underground a Milano negli anni 1993-95, inizio a
interessarmi alla musica elettronica, dapprima come dj (dal 1996), poi
come live setter (dal 2003).
Nel 1997 col nome di dj Bostik fondo assieme a dj Pier Analogic Mantra.
Ho organizzato happening e festival come Hackit98, Hackit99, Digital
Guerrilla, Neuromacchine, MaydayParade, Canapisa 2004 e 2005, Mostra
del Postumano, Decadent freak Circus, Ombre senza Corpi, Techno Rxstnz,
MicroLove, GodSave8Bit, Bikosessions, MicroMilano vs MicroRoma,
Interferenze, Veneralia, Ginnastica e rivoluzione, Roma KO, The plot
thickens 2, POST, Micronauti nella galassia a spirale, Wasabi 8 bit
party, TAZ, Biko Platz, Bit Bubbles, Sprawl, Start-up, Posthumans don’t
cry.
Ora faccio parte dei collettivi NoHumanNoCry, Micromilano and
TechnoResistance.
Ultimamente ho suonato insieme con Cdatakill (USA), V-Atak (FR), Yann
Keller (DE), Alice and her boyband (ITA), Core Ogg (USA), 8GB (ARG),
Hekate (UK), Raving Mad Carlos (ESP), Kloreiniger (DE), Otolab (ITA),
Bubblyfish (USA), Anna Bolena (DE), Cybele (ITA), collettivo MicroRoma
(ITA), B.S.K. (JAP), Fire at work (ITA), Drama Nui (DE), Franzuss (DE),
Memory9 (ITA), Chrono Triggers (FR), Queenspectra (ITA), Enk (ITA),

Ho lavorato nell’arte in Italia e Germania con MiArt, GreenArtFestival,
Limited, XLab, White Rabbit, Museo di Fotografia Contemporanea, Studio

Ora sto producendo il mio primo vinile RXSTNZ 01, che conterrà tracce

La comunita’ hacker italiana, in vent’anni si e’ vista nascere, crescere e morire la tecnologia addosso. Qualcuno pensava che l’essenza di una Internet orizzontale avrebbe configurato nuovi rapporti, basati sulla condivisione e non piu’ su poteri forti e centralizzati. Qualcuno indicava Internet come un semplice moltiplicatore di canali di informazione, che per sua stessa natura sarebbe finito in mano al marketing e alla pubblicita’. Abbiamo avuto ragione, abbiamo sbagliato. Il mondo del file sharing ad esempio ha scalzato nella quotidianita’ delle persone il concetto di proprieta’ intellettuale, piu’ di quanto avremmo potuto fare con un milione di volantini. Ma la rete e’ tutt’altro che un luogo di liberta’, cosi’ come questo mondo e’ tutt’altro che libero e giusto. Quanto spazio rimane per una comunicazione libera tra facebook, google, twitter, eccetera? Cosa resta dell’uso "tattico" della rete? Quali canali e strategie nel presente/futuro delle tecnologie integrate (internet/tv/telefonia/radio/eccetera) sono ancora utili ad una libera comunicazione? Vorremmo provare ad affrontare un poco queste tematiche partendo dalla nostra storia, insieme ad alcune persone che hanno animato/animano a Firenze esperienze come Strano Network, ECN, Autistici/Inventati, Indymedia.

SEMERSSUAQ + ROBERT CURGENVEN

Two gigs of Semerssuaq and Robert Curgenven will take place soon in Italy.
In October they will share the stage in Pisa and Napoli in order to warm up before the small tour they will all have around the middle of November in North Europe.

Semerssuaq (Burp) are WJ Meatball (Jealousy Party, Sistemi Audiofobici Burp) and JD Zazie (B Unit, Sistemi Audiofobici Burp).
The freeform Cut’ n Roll duo was born in Florence at the end of the 90’s at the Soul Limbo Studio based in C.P.A. Fi-Sud. From that improvised, freeform/rock and electronic music scene, they developed their technique manipolating sound using basically dj tools.
Collaborations with Brynja Cortes Andrésdóttir (cello), CCMonkey (violin), Edoardo Ricci (wind instruments) and Letizia Renzini (electronics) have been occasions to deveope their language into electro-acoustic and electronic music.
In 2009, after a break of three years and a half, the project Semerssuaq started again.

Robert Curgenven (Recordedfields) builds surprising atmospheres “working with harmonics and textures as articulated not only through instruments/objects, in space and place, but also in time and the dislocation of the remote. Curgenven’s sound explores shifting layers in the fabric of fields of perception, creating vast landscapes from carefully detailed recordings through to immersive resonances via deft manipulations of sound pressure. Employing only analogue means, in a variety of contexts from pure field recordings to feedback and instrumental harmonics to shape relations through sound.”

So why don’t we all cut’n roll on the 14th of October at Leningradcafè in Pisa and on the 15th at Perditempo for Pestival in Naples?
It could be nice to follow their gigs diving deeply into their surprising atmospheres.
