Mangiare carne umana, questa è l’ultima stravagante moda che si sta diffondendo in tutti i posti più ‘in’ del Sud del mondo. Solquest, alexander de large e Superfreak, rinomati amanti di tutte le ultime tendenze, non potevano resistere al fascino dell’ultima follia e riuniti nella squadra d’attacco denominata Bokassà si danno ad un afropunk scatenato divorandosi l’un l’altro fino all’inevitabile silenzio.

Zampana ci ha messo un po’ di rumori percussivi, THX un super assolo di scratch, ma questo non è stato sufficiente a salvargli la vita.

To eat human flesh: the latest fancy trend spreading in the hippest of places in the South of the world. Solquest, alexander de large, and Superfreak, renowned lovers of the latest fads whatsoever, couldn’t resist the appeal of this latest frenzy and, gathered in the attack squad named Bokassà, took up playing a hog-wild afro-punk, devouring each other till the inevitable silence.

Zampana putted some percussive noise, THX is the grandmaster of a super scratch solo, but this things weren’t enough for saving their lives

L’installazione Birds watch in a bramble é stata sonorizzata dal vivo da THX riprendendo con un microfono i canti degli uccelli contenuti nella voliera al centro della sala, registrati e looppati in tempo reale con una Boss RC-20xl loopstation e filtrati con un processore di effetti KORG mini Kaoss Pad.
Inoltre é stata usata una drum machine Akai MPC2000 per campionare il cinguettio degli uccelli e creare in tempo reale delle sequenze di suoni filtrate dagli effetti e mixate con gli altri strumenti, un synth microKORG primo modello, un giradischi Technics sl-1210, un mixer Vestax PCM-05 pro D, vari dischi fonografici di effetti sonori (Uccelli del Venezuela, Dusk/Dawn di Henrik Håkansson, e Bird Listening di Letizia Renzini) e una catena di pedali effetto per chitarra (Boss digital delay, Boss super chorus, Vox Valvetone overdrive, Dunlop “Jimi Hendrix system” fuzz unit, Dunlop Crybaby wah-wah).
I suoni campionati nell’MPC e nella loopstation sono stati successivamente registrati su computer in formato wave e infine rippati in formato mpeg-3 da THX.
